(Be sure to read the fine print!)

How much does the hardwood, bamboo, engineered or laminate flooring cost?

Flooring material cost will depend on:

  1. The actual cost of material (best $5.00-9.00+ sqf) (better $2.00-$5.00 sqf) (good enough $1.00-$2.00), (the type, warranty, durability vs. amount above time before it needs to replaced)

  2. Where it's purchased from. The general rule of thumb for retailers is to sell for, 3-4 times the amount that they bought it for.

  3. How well it's installed. The installer will make a critical difference. Depending on who installs your new flooring, the cost of the material will be the least of your concerns. All retailers use sub contractors. Basically anyone that shows up with a tool box and a clean criminal background will be hired.
